LOSS, ILLNESS AND CANCER THERAPY

Illness therapy is a speciality of mine too. You are unique, your illness is unique to you and how you are experiencing your loss; and by loss I mean being in treatment, pain, losing body image, losing time with your loved ones due to hospital visits, maybe not being able to work, isolation, lack of freedom, the meaning of your life and in some cases a fear of death.

I will walk alongside you as you navigate the meaning of your diagnosis and illness. You may wish to enter into some short-term work, or know that I will be there for you for as long as you need to navigate your distress or anxiety around your illness.

My passion is bereavement support. I will walk towards your pain and grief with you. It is an opportunity to talk about your loved one, in all respects. There is no judgement as you process your relationship and your grief.

People comment that talking about their loss is a profound feeling, particularly as people avoid mentioning ‘their name’ to avoid upsetting you.

Other people might struggle to know what to say and how to talk to you, and may be fearful of upsetting you and themselves. You may have guilt around moving on. It will certainly have brought up your own feelings on mortality and the meaning of life.

  • HIGHLY EXPERIENCED IN GRIEF

Support, at any stage of bereavement, can be life changing for the person grieving.

  • HOME VISITS

If access or travel is an issue due to illness or disability, it is not a block to therapy

  • OUTDOOR AND NATURE THERAPY

Walking therapy is highly effective and not as intense as a one-to-one being opposite each other.
