OUTDOOR AND NATURE THERAPY

Did you know you don’t have to be in the same ‘room’ looking at each other one to one?  We can meet outdoors at a mutual venue, a place to encourage us being fully immersed in and around nature.

Being in nature means that there are many different feelings to being indoors and if you are fed up being indoors due to work, or you are an outdoor worker, you may find that this is a wonderful alternative to my room.

To experience nature therapy, means embracing the seasons, the terrain, the weather and the creatures but there will be time to stop, notice them, enjoy them and be truly mindful, as well as having my therapeutic support.

Being in nature doesn’t mean it involves lots of walking.  We can go to a private space and sit down.

I will be working therapeutically outdoors, but you can relax and breathe freely and we’ll use nature as prompts on our walk.  We can simply walk or delve into the nearby woods for some forest bathing.

We would mutually negotiate the venue and timing.  I have good venues from my practice or we could select a mutual park.  I will guide you through what you need to have for the best experience of outdoor therapy.  And yes, outdoor therapy can be held in all the different weathers we get in the UK.

If you have a disability that means the location needs to be considered carefully, we can do that and make sure you have access.

March 2024 - Work has started on my purpose built space outdoors in the garden - either as an alternative to the therapy room or a space to work creatively with nature. Progress is captured on my Facebook page.
